VIDEO SESSION 3: Endometriosis Under Pressure: Imaging, Emergencies, and Advanced Problem-Solving

Sunday, November 15, 2026
3:15 pm - 4:15 pm

Room: RM310

Faculty: Jessica Chaoul, Victoria E. Webber, Meghana Chapalamadugu, Jeremy Biro, Waleed Tawfik, Sara Hojabri, Rebecca Barbaresso

Description: This session addresses difficult decisions that arise when endometriosis presents with acute bleeding, unusual imaging, extensive nerve involvement, or rapidly evolving intraoperative findings. It combines diagnostic strategy, cadaveric anatomy, hemorrhage management, nerve release, and reconstruction.

Learning Objectives: At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:

  1. Use imaging and anatomic knowledge to anticipate complex disease.
  2. Recognize and manage spontaneous or acute hemoperitoneum associated with endometriosis.
  3. Apply nerve-release and reconstruction concepts in advanced cases.
  4. Develop contingency strategies when operative findings differ from expectations.
